城中社区在广东省韶关市始兴县太平镇，是始兴县城的城镇社区之一。[1]
因居委会设在县城中心区域，是该片城镇居民的自治组织，故名城中。[1] 1958年9月，县城居民被编成营、连、排，同年成立太平大队。到1960年，太平大队撤销，改按县城片区设上、中、下三个居委会，城中社区即源于此。[1]
