经济[edit]
村里的资料称，村域有竹、木和水库资源，种植优质水稻，养猪、养禽；总人口约2236人，村里设有小学、文化室和卫生站各一处。在韶关学院2004年至2009年的挂点帮扶下，村道大多硬化为水泥路。[1]
历史沿革与荣誉[edit]
民国时期属曲江县，1955年归犁市区，1957年为犁市乡，1984年属曲江县梅村镇，2004年设梅塘村委会。梅塘村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单（2019年9月公布）。[1]
张氏猫公狮[edit]
梅塘村一带流传张氏猫公狮，由传统舞狮演变而来，春节期间表演，以拜年、祈福为主。区文旅体局的介绍称它由张九龄独创，2016年列入韶关市第六批市级非物质文化遗产名录。[2] 百度百科则说，其表演模仿猫的形态，与两只猴子配合，最早可追溯到清代，传承300余年。[3]
