历史沿革[edit]
清代村民以翟姓为主，村称翟洞。土改后叫翟洞乡，1957年办翟洞高级社，1958年成立翟洞大队，隶新塘公社。1983年成为翟洞乡，1987年设翟洞村委会，由永和镇管辖，2004年随镇并入新塘镇，2012年转入永宁街道。[1]
人口与经济[edit]
村情介绍称，村有17个合作社、762户、3470人，设学校和卫生站各一所，农集市场一个，周边的塔岗、九如、公安、叶岭等村村民也来此买卖。[1] 收入来源有种养、个体运输、集体分配和外出务工等。[1]
翟洞村在2020年至2022年连续列入淘宝村名单；2023年5月获「2022年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
