历史沿革[edit]
据村情介绍，1940年日军驻扎永和圩，群众在此另建圩市，称公安圩。[1] 土改后叫公安小乡，1956年办公安高级社，1958年编为公安大队，隶新塘公社。1983年成为公安乡，1987年设公安村民委员会，由永和镇管辖，2004年随镇并入新塘镇，2012年转入永宁街道。[1]
地理环境[edit]
村情介绍称，村辖15个经济合作社，常住人口2900多人，面积5.2平方公里；东靠广东省森林公园南香山，北至余家庄水库。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2021年12月，公安村获「2021年广东省卫生村」称号；2024年6月广州市住建局公布「2023年度广州市美丽乡村」，公安村在列；2026年1月，又获评「广东省第二批百千万工程典型村」。[1][2]
