木坪村是连州镇的一个行政村，村委会沿用的村名，来自村委会起初驻地的旧名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

清初，幸氏始祖由广东兴宁县迁入，形成村委最早的村落；之后赖、李等姓陆续迁入。[2]

1958年公社化后，木坪属连州公社木坪生产大队。1961年随万车公社分出，1963年万车公社并回连州公社后仍设木坪生产大队；1983年撤大队设木坪乡，1986年11月改设木坪村民委员会，1989年5月改设木坪管理区，1998年9月复称木坪村民委员会。[2]

文化[edit]

2019年9月，本村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
