连东村是连州镇的一个行政村，村委会位于连州圩以东，村名由此而来。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
明末，杨氏始祖迁入本地落户，形成村委最早的村落，之后伍氏等多姓陆续迁入。[2]
1958年公社化后，连东属连州公社连东生产大队；1983年设连东乡，隶属连州区；1986年改设连东村民委员会，1989年改设连东管理区，1999年复称连东村委会。[2]
名胜古迹[edit]
连东石拱桥位于猪腰塘村，为清代建筑的单券石拱桥，白麻石砌筑，长7.9米，高3.3米，跨过田间水坑，供耕作与往来之用。该桥2011年2月列入「第四批罗定市文物保护单位」。[3]
