五星村是郁南县大湾镇下辖的行政村，大湾古建筑群大部分位于本村。[5][6]

村名取自1958年建行政村时国旗五星的寓意。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

清代属保和都，民国时为塔安乡的下保甲，建国初属大湾行政村的下片村。1958年编入长征人民公社，设五星生产大队；1983年设五星乡人民政府；1987年才改为村委会；1989年曾设五星管理区，1999年恢复村委会名称。[2]

现有陈、李、谢、朱、王、廖6姓，其中李姓最多，约占50%。另据记载，陈氏始祖于1600年自韶关南雄迁入，李氏始祖于1630年自佛山南海迁入，谢氏始祖于1650年自东坝镇迁来，朱氏始祖于1850年从河口镇迁入。[2]

文化遗存[edit]

博雅地名网把大湾古建筑群在该村的部分称作五星古村落。村内有民居大屋、祠堂、书院和庙宇，装饰有灰塑、壁画、木雕和石雕。[3][4]

大湾古建筑群于2002年7月17日获列入第四批省级文物保护单位名单，2013年3月5日又列入第七批全国重点文物保护单位名单。[5]

荣誉[edit]

第一批「广东省历史文化名镇名村」名单有五星村，时间为2008年9月。[1]

2016年12月，五星村进入「第四批中国传统村落」名录。[1]

2019年1月，五星村获评「第七批中国历史文化名村」。[1]

广东省乡村振兴局在2022年1月确定五星村为「2021年广东省乡村治理示范村」创建单位。[1]

五星村属于2022年广东省「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村（肉鸡），认定单位为广东省农业农村厅，时间为2022年10月。[1]
