茅坪村是大南山街道下辖的行政村，位于大南山望天石山下，是大南山革命斗争时期的旧地，彭湃、古大存、方方等革命先驱都曾在此活动。[1]

2019年12月，本村出现在国家林业和草原局公布的「第二批国家森林乡村」名单上。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1987年3月撤区建镇时，本村从白马乡析出，单独设立茅坪村委会，隶属大南山镇。1991年3月设为茅坪管理区，1999年改称茅坪村委会。2015年，村委会从原址搬迁至新址驻地。[1]

经济[edit]

村内出产茅坪菠萝和油甘。留守在村中的村民以耕山种果为生，村民收入不稳定。[1]
