下洞村是广东省揭阳市揭西县五云镇下辖的行政村，位于镇的东部，距县城约6公里，是五云镇人民政府的所在地，属红色革命老区。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1958年至1983年，这里是一个生产大队。1984年大队撤销后设乡，1986年改为村级建制，1991年又成管理区，1999年方定为村民委员会，沿用至今。[2]

地理与经济[edit]

省道335线与238线在村中交叉穿过，交通便利，镇区内商铺集中。[1]

全村总人口2891人、625户，据博雅地名网。耕地616亩，山地3760亩，生态公益林162亩。村集体建有自来水站，供水对象包括村民及镇政府、信用社等机关和企事业单位，是村集体经济收入的重要来源。[1]

农业以水稻、花生为主，工业不够发达，村民多外出务工经商。[1]
