历史沿革[edit]

1951年曾设水美乡，归浮山区管辖；1958年改为水美大队，归浮山公社管辖；1983年重设水美乡，归东山区管辖；1986年成立水美村委会，归东山乡管辖；1990年改称水美管理区，归东山镇管辖；1999年又设村委会，延续至今[1]。

荣誉[edit]

水美村入选2020年8月公布的首批「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村，所属产业为茶叶[1]。

民俗信仰[edit]

村中的水口庵王爷庙供奉三山国王[2]。
