历史沿革[edit]
据村情记载，民国时期为白石上乡第四堡，随后1960年为水美生产队，随后1983年改设水美乡政府，随后1987年成为水美村民委员会，随后至1992年改称水美管理区办事处，随后直到1999年才称水美村民委员会[1]。
人口与经济[edit]
据博雅地名网所载村情，村内设34个村民小组，在册922户、4802人，总面积7.76平方千米，耕地1303亩；种植的作物主要是养殖和香蕉[1]。村里办有石料加工区和环保砖厂；记载称上一年农村经济总收入400万元。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2021年12月，获广东省爱卫会授予「2021年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
