历史沿革[edit]

1987年1月设立村民委员会，1989年12月改设管理区委员会，1999年5月恢复为村委会，沿用至今。[2]

人口与设施[edit]

村里主要为蔡氏聚居，人口1361人（百度百科，未注年份）。[1]

村子的邻村有大园、莲云、东埔等，另与潮州市经济开发区相邻。[1]

竹围小学与幼儿园各1所，另有卫生站1个。[1]

产业[edit]

陶瓷是村子的主导产业，大部分家庭从事陶瓷生产与加工。村里建有占地50亩的工业小区，进区落户企业68家。[1]

2004年的数字显示：营业收入10170万元，工业产值5850万元，集体纯收入58万元，农民人均收入4919元。[1]

2024年10月，潮州市自然资源局为竹围村4宗宅基地及房屋做了「房地一体」首次不动产登记。[1]

竹围村经济联合社于2025年3月启动华炜陶瓷厂的研发生产项目，厂房规划为5层，建筑总面积为7829.31平方米。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，竹围村上榜「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位名单」。[2]

2020年9月、2021年10月与2022年10月发布的淘宝村名单中，竹围村均有名。[2]
