新沙村是广东省中山市黄圃镇下辖的行政村，位于黄圃镇政府东南约1.7公里处，与镇区仅隔一条河，是城乡结合的村落。南三公路贯穿全村。[1][2]

沿革[edit]

1950年村里成立农会，1952年6月设乡。1956年组成高级合作社，辖区包括团范、马安、二邱、新沙四村。此后1958年设公社，1963年改设大队，1998年才设村委会，沿用至今。[1]

概况[edit]

村下辖4个自然村，住户1171户，土地面积4800亩，下设19个村民小组。据博雅地名网，村内户籍人口4693人，外来人口830人，统计年份未注明。村内设有小学、幼儿园和卫生站各一所（个）。[2]

农民人均年收入11000元，村集体经济收入在2013年超过200万元；同年参加农村合作医疗的达4200人，参保率超过95%。[2]

醒狮与产业[edit]

新沙小学2005年成立醒狮队，同年便在广东省传统醒狮锦标赛中拿到一等奖；次年夺得第一名，2007年与2008年又分获第一、第二名。[2]

村里建有一个大型废旧金属交易市场，博雅地名网称其为广东最大型的同类市场，共有300多家商户进驻，带动1000多人就业。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，村上榜2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
