大埔村位于清溪镇东南面，旧称大布，与清溪最大的水库契爷石相邻，两面环山。[2][1]全村下辖大埔、南方等3个村民小组，村民以农业转为工业与商业为主。[2][1]

历史沿革[edit]

博雅地名网载，1958年以前，村民住宅多为砖木平房与土坯房。1979年，村里的第一家毛织厂群艺毛织厂开办，不少村民进厂打工，也有人外出经商，生活随之好转。[1]

上世纪90年代中后期，村里陆续引进外资企业，集体经济明显增长。1994年，村委会收入过了200万元大关，比1991年多了十倍。从这一年起，村委会开始向户籍村民发放生活津贴和老人福利金。[1]

博雅地名网载，2004年，村里的集体收入合计690万，其中纯收入为470万；农民人均所得为4396元。[1]

据该村在东莞市人民政府门户网站发布的工作总结，2021年村集体总收入1334万元，纯收入933万元；2024年总收入1486万元，纯收入1078万元。[3]

该页还称，2025年1至9月村集体总收入1196.6万元，总资产5194.7万元，负债率为14.7%。[3]
