沿革[edit]
博雅地名网称，村内李姓始祖李而立于元末明初由番禺迁至此地，先居上车岗，后迁入塔岗。村庄坐落在小山岗上，村前原有一座花塔，已拆毁，村因此得名。[2]
1958年成立人民公社后，塔岗曾归属常平、横沥等公社；1961年划归东坑公社，同年改为塔岗大队；1999年改为村委会。[3]
现状[edit]
据东坑镇政府网，村辖面积约2平方千米，建成区0.46平方千米。村下设东门、西门、塔子头三条自然村，并有合作社五个。户籍居民2077人，外来暂住人口约一万四千七百人。[1]
2025年村集体资产约1.7亿元，经营总收入为1723万元，净收益220万元。[1]
文物[edit]
市级文化保护单位是塔岗围面前的李氏宗祠；镇级的有塔子头围面前的李氏宗祠，另有北帝庙与雨田家塾。列入保护的古树名木共13棵。[1]
