东江村位于广东省东莞市桥头镇东部，东江河与S120公路横穿村域。村中共有五个自然村，分别是大围、围仔江贝、张屋、新圩和祥和圩。[2][1]

镇政府网站称，东江村东邻惠州仲恺区，北接博罗县；博雅地名网则作东面与惠阳区相邻，两说有出入。[2][1]

据博雅地名网，东江村的前身东岸村在宋代立村，后来几经并合，1958年改为东江大队，1999年改设东江村委会。[1]

镇政府网站载，截至2025年，村内外来人口约12000人。全村企业共156家，其中规上企业42家，产业以电子为核心。村内建有一所学校和一所幼儿园。[2]
