下沙村在石排镇南面，是镇里唯一的革命老区。村域2.25平方公里左右，包括下沙、上沙、杨屋、刘屋四个自然村。[1]

村内保留东江纵队铁东大队宿营地旧址，石排镇的首个共产党支部即诞生于此地一带。村庄在2025年被评为广东省“百千万工程”典型村。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

博雅地名网记，下沙村原称沙宝里，后改为现名。[2]

据村政府介绍，共产党人王步尧在此传播进步思想，带领村民与日本侵略者及国民党反动派展开斗争，革命的火种由此在本地扎根。[1]

经济[edit]

2026年5月的统计显示，村里规上企业44家，高新企业32家，产值过亿的企业12家，专精特新企业13家，另有1家“小巨人”企业。[1]村社两级2025年合计收入约5196万元。[1]

人居环境与文化[edit]

近年村里做了见缝插绿、道路升级、公厕改造、雨污分流与明渠改暗渠等工程，2025年获得广东省“美丽庭院”特色村称号。[1]文化队伍有舞蹈队、醒狮队、曲艺队等，每年文化活动投入近70万元。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

维高公祠即东江纵队宿营地遗址，位于下沙村下沙村小组。博雅地名网记，1940年下半年中共地下党已在当地开展活动。[2]
