长山村是英德市大湾镇下辖的行政村，位于镇东北部，离镇政府约4.5千米。村委会设在上长山自然村，全村辖45个自然村。[1]

村名的来历是：相传唐朝以前此地人口密集，已形成圩市，附近赶集的人要走很长的山路，故名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1998年10月7日改设长山村委会，此前1990年为长山管理区，1986年为村委会，1983年设长山乡政府，1958年为长山大队，1952年则是长山小乡。[1]

2019年9月，长山村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。广东省爱卫会于2021年12月把「2021年广东省卫生村」称号授予该村。[1]

交通[edit]

横跨村中河两岸的瑶步桥于2026年2月6日正式通车。全部建设费用642万元，三个村小组自筹其中180万元。该桥惠及瑶步、白寨、羊径三个村小组的群众。出嫁的女性村民也集资三万八千余元支持建桥。[2]

经济[edit]

村里地势平坦，田土肥沃，灌溉用水充足，属粮食产区。博雅地名网记人口6353人、耕地5530亩，未注年份。[1]
