黄田村是望埠镇下辖的行政村，位于镇南部，紧靠英埠一级公路，离镇政府大约5公里。[1]

村中设有望埠镇黄田工业园区。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，村名为纪念东汉末年184年的黄巾起义而取。[1]

建国后几经合并分设：1962年并入文立大队，1983年又与周边的小迳、茅坪等合并为文明乡。1986年起称黄田村委会，1990年改为管理区，1998年10月起复为村委会。[1]

村有412户，人口1738人。党支部有党员54名，支部委员3人，村委会干部5人。[1]

村辖16个自然村，其中包括老屋一、老屋二、楼仔下、大围、板桥、岩音岗等。[1]

村委耕地面积1212亩，地势平坦，土壤较肥，水源充足，属粮食主产区。[1]
