高田圩[edit]

高田圩形成于明朝成化年间，约在1487年前后。圩市位于北江西岸一处分散的台地山区小盆地里。当时称黄峒市，因地势较高，附近田地很少遭受北江河水倒灌，后人改称高田圩。[2]

革命老区[edit]

飞来峡镇的文洞、西坑、高塱、旧岭、高田、石颈6个村（居）共82个自然村，经广东省人民政府批准，被认定为“清城区革命老区村庄”，高田社区是其中之一。[2]
