青山村是横荷街道下辖的行政村，位于街道中部，距清远市区约10公里，村名取自辖区内的丘陵与树木。[1]

地名由来[edit]

村一带为起伏的山丘，林木茂密，山清水秀，因此取名青山；村委会驻地亦在此，故村名得以沿用。[1]

沿革[edit]

1950年设青山乡，1958年为青山大队，1983年复称青山乡，1987年改为青山村委会，1990年为青山管理区，1999年定为青山村民委员会，沿用至今。[1]

概况[edit]

村辖23个自然村。户籍人口5446人（统计年份未注）；耕地3762亩，其中水田3260亩；党支部有党员122人。[1]

辖区地处丘陵，耕地分散，农田主要依靠人工灌溉。[1]
