清康熙年间，刘姓人家在此建起新楼房，此地因之称为新楼村。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

此地于1949年建起乡一级机构，1958年并入大队体制，1983年转设乡政府，1986年组建村委会，1989年归入管理区。1999年2月6日，阳春市政府依批示设立新楼村委会，此名延续至今。[1]

荣誉与特产[edit]

2021年12月，新楼村委会辖下的小水二村获列入「2021年度阳江市卫生村」名单。[1]

据百度百科，三甲切粉的始制者被认为是本村的妇女十二嫂，制法始于清康熙年间，详见三甲镇条目。[2]
