合水镇是广东省阳江市阳春市下辖的镇，位于阳春市中北部，地处漠阳江上游，镇名来自漠阳江上游与西山河的汇合之处。全镇面积约240平方千米，辖3个社区和18个行政村。[1][3]

地名由来[edit]

镇域临近漠阳江上游，西山河在此与之相汇，两水交汇之处因此取名合水。[5]

地理环境[edit]

合水镇属亚热带季风气候。镇区西北面临漠阳江，与陂面镇隔江相望，漠阳江是两镇的界河；南面与春城街道及阳江市相邻，东部一角伸入恩平市，处于恩平与春湾之间。镇区距阳春城区约17公里。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

明清两朝，此地属阳春县南厢都，境内设有平坦堡和南在堡。民国时期属阳春县第二区，1949年10月仍属该区。1958年9月成立合水公社，1962年陂面公社自合水公社分出。1984年，合水镇人民政府得以复设；次年6月此地改设合水区；至1986年12月，区乡建制撤销，合水区重新定名为合水镇。[4]

据百度百科，户籍人口在2019年末为70185人。2021年6月，据第七次全国人口普查结果，合水镇人口为4.49万人，在阳春市各街道乡镇中居第6位。[1][3]

经济[edit]

据百度百科，全镇2019年登记在册的工业企业为17家，规模以上者2家；经营面积逾50平方米的综合商店与超市共20处。[1]

文化[edit]

在第二届全国文明村镇的名单中，合水镇于2009年1月列入其中。[3]

高流河发源于镇域东南部，全长17.7公里，自东向西流入漠阳江。河边的高流河墟据明万历县志所载，设在南在堡牛栏湾，即合水镇高流河桥边，距县城12公里，墟期原为农历五月初四和七月十四。建国后七月十四的墟期废止，只保留五月初四。墟市主要交易铁、竹、木农具制品。明万历十六年（1588年）该墟载入《阳春县志》。[7]

风姜香菇蒸走地鸡是阳春的地方菜式，据所引介绍，以合水镇的做法最为出名，用料为风姜、走地鸡和干香菇。[8]

名胜古迹[edit]

白寨村一带的白石岩遗址，分屋背、后龙公与土主公三处，年代跨度从新石器时代到周代。遗址1978年发现，1979年试掘，1984年由阳春县公布为文物保护单位，现为阳春市文物保护单位。[6]

著名人物[edit]

黎四贵（1811年—1854年）生于清代南厢都平坦堡下塘朝，即今合水镇辖地。1853年（咸丰三年）他组织农民武装起义反清，次年攻占阳春县城；同年农历九月在罗定被捕杀，时年四十四岁。[9]
