博雅地名网称，村名的由来与从闸坡进入村子时两个风口同时吹来有关[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

村子于1983年先称双丰乡，1987年改设双丰村委会，其后又为双丰管理区，1999年恢复村委会名称，2010年划归闸坡镇[1]。

荣誉[edit]

2021年2月，双丰村经司法部、民政部公布，成为第八批全国民主法治示范单位之一。2024年4月，村子进入广东省第一批乡村振兴示范村的创建名单；2023年11月，它又入选广东「百千万工程」首批典型县镇村[1]。
