北洋村是闸坡镇下辖的行政村^[1]^[2]。村名取自辖内北悦、大洋两处的首字，其中大洋如今分作六个自然村^[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

村子最早在1953年以北洋乡的名称出现。之后经过北洋管理区、北洋生产大队等阶段，1987年2月设立北洋村委会，1999年称北洋村委会^[1]。1958年归入英雄公社；1988年阳江升为地级市后，村子属阳东区海陵镇；1990年10月起归江城区海陵镇^[1]。
