新中村位于东源县涧头镇境内，是镇下辖的行政村，与长新村、大往村、新田村等相邻。[1]

地名与历史沿革[edit]

村名为纪念新中国成立而起。[1]

1958年为新中大队，1983年改设新中乡，1987年改为新中管理区。1999年经县里批准设立新中村委会，沿用至今。[1]
