黄田村是黄田镇下辖的行政村，城乡分类上属镇乡结合区。村名与镇名相同，相传因地处东江中上游河畔、土地肥沃，秋天稻穗金黄而得。[1]

文化[edit]

东源县第三次全国文物普查补充名录收有本村的武城祠，年代为清，类别为古建筑，级别未定。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

建置上，1958年为大队，1983年为乡，1987年为管理区，1999年起设村委会，至今未变。[1]

2019年10月，村子入选「2019年广东省卫生村」名录。[1]
