仙塘镇是广东省河源市东源县下辖的镇，也是东源县人民政府的驻地。[1][3] 百度百科称其位于东源县境南部，博雅地名网则称其位于河源市东北部、县城所在地。[1][3] 东江、205国道、粤赣高速公路和京九铁路都穿过镇域，京九线上设有仙塘站。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，地名“仙塘”的来历是：此地四面环山、中间成盆地，形如一口山塘，原称山塘，后改称仙塘。[3] 1950年，这里属河源县第四区的仙塘乡；1958年并入东埔人民公社，此后数次分出又合并；1983年设仙塘区，1987年改设仙塘镇。[3] 次年划归河源市郊区，直到1993年11月东源县设立，才转归东源县管辖；县城当时就定在仙塘镇的木京。[3][5] 维基百科则称该镇设立于1986年，与博雅地名网的1987年不一致。[2]

地理环境[edit]

镇域面积有两种数字：百度百科记为146.48平方千米，博雅地名网记为约173平方千米。[1][3] 百度百科称镇境东面与义合镇相接，南面连接紫金县临江镇，西面与新港镇、源城区源南镇为邻，北面与灯塔镇下围村接壤。[1]

镇内林业、矿产和水利资源较为丰富，矿产以稀土、萤矿、高岭土和铅锌矿为主，其中已探明的高岭土储量在3000万吨以上。[3] 镇境有日供水能力达3.8万立方米的自来水厂，另有水力发电站1座、小型水库2座。[3]

2010年，镇内有8601户，人口28250人。[4] 据百度百科，2020年11月的第七次全国人口普查中，登记在册者为14.43万人，其中常住人口约13.19万，户籍人口3.82万。[1] 博雅地名网按2021年的人口统计将仙塘镇列为东源县各乡镇人口之首，人口约12.11万人。[3]

经济[edit]

2020年，全镇工业总产值为68.71亿元，比2015年增长36.1%。[1] 2014年7月，仙塘镇经住建部会同其他六个部委认定，列为全国重点镇。[3] 2020年、2021年和2022年，仙塘镇三次列入阿里研究院发布的淘宝镇名单。[3] 2025年8月，仙塘镇入选「广东省第三批“百千万工程”专业镇」建设名单。[1][3]

镇内留存一批客家古建筑群，百度百科举潘氏家族的“参军第”和“大夫第”为例。[1] 2015年2月，仙塘镇获中央文明委评为第四届全国文明村镇。[3]

名胜古迹[edit]

南园古村在红光村境内，又称南园围村，据百度百科所载，明万历年间由潘氏家族聚居形成，族谱记该村历史上出过二十三名官员，现存三十六座客家府第式古建筑。[6][8] 维基百科记该村古民居有三十多座，其中“大夫第”、“新衙门”、“老衙门”和“柳溪书院”较为突出。[7]

客家民俗博物馆依托一座名为锁头独角楼的府第式民居设立，该民居建于明末清初，馆内陈列一百多件客家人的生产生活用具。[10]

仙塘革命烈士纪念碑位于热水村，建于1986年，占地约200平方米，纪念1950年间在当地牺牲的九名解放军战士。[9]

博雅地名网列出与仙塘镇相关的人物有古成之（947年至1007年）、阮啸仙（1897年至1935年）、张谷英（1913年至1948年）、欧阳俊（1885年至1913年）、欧阳波（1920年至2004年）和叶启希（1925年至1990年）。[3]
