云星村是东水镇下辖的行政村，地处较高的位置。村名取居民希望村子像星星一样的寓意。博雅地名网的页面题作云新村，和平县人民政府网站也作云新村，本条目沿用数据库中的名称。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

民国二十年，云星属坦坪乡（保）。1941年起归东水乡，解放初亦然。1952年设立云星乡，此后1962年改为云星大队，1987年才变为云星管理区办事处，1999年设立云星村村民委员会。[1]

文化[edit]

广东省爱卫会于2023年5月授予该村「2022年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
