甘蕉村是东水镇下辖的行政村，由原甘石村与蕉坑村合并而成。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

民国二十年，甘蕉的蕉坑（高坡下）归前郎仑乡（保）管，其余几处自然村则归上郎仑乡（保）管。1941年之后两部分均归郎仑乡，解放初依然如此。1962年设甘蕉大队，1987年改设甘蕉管理区办事处，1999年5月起称甘蕉村村民委员会。[1]

文化[edit]

2024年3月，甘蕉村被命名为「2023年广东省卫生村」。2025年5月，该村被授予「2022年度和平县文明村镇」称号。[1]
