宋龙村是东水镇下辖的行政村。村名的来历有两点：村子附近有一座山形似龙，村民又多数姓宋。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

民国二十年，宋龙所在地归上郎仑乡（保）。1941年起归郎仑乡，解放初期亦然。1952年建宋龙乡，1962年建宋龙大队，1987年变为宋龙管理区办事处。1999年5月，宋龙村村民委员会成立。[1]

文化[edit]

2019年9月，宋龙村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。2024年3月，该村被命名为「2023年广东省卫生村」。[1]
