合水镇是广东省河源市和平县下辖的乡镇，在县境南端。阳明镇位于它的东北方，连平县绣缎镇紧邻其南，青州镇在西侧，镇政府距县城约7千米。和平县人民政府网站称它为“和平县南大门”。[1]

镇辖区面积据和平县人民政府2026年所载为135.85平方千米，下辖12个行政村和1个居委会；维基百科将其列为13个村级区划单位。[1][3] 镇名来自所在位置：镇区处在和平河与浰江汇合处，故称合水。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

1949年以前，这一带称永丰乡。解放初期属和平县第一区。1956年第一区划分为四个大乡，合水为其中之一；1958年四个大乡合并为东山公社，合水随之归东山公社；1960年东山公社又分为四个小公社，合水是其中一个。[2] 此后改设合水镇。博雅地名网未注明改镇的年份，当时写作辖12个管理区和一个居委会；和平县人民政府2026年所载则为12个行政村和1个居委会。[1][2]

地理环境[edit]

镇域多为丘陵山区，西北部地势稍高，东南部偏低，土壤大部分为沙土石与红壤土。和平县人民政府称山地约10165.8公顷，常用耕地491.2公顷。[1] 博雅地名网所载的辖区面积为124.9平方千米，该页未注年份，与政府网站的数字不同，两者并存。[1][2] 气候属中亚热带季风气候，年平均气温约19.5℃，年降雨量约1236至1690毫米，雨量多集中在4至9月。[2]

博雅地名网所载的2004年底全镇总人口为26288人。其中农业人口24767人，非农业人口1521人；民族上以汉族为主，另有少数畲族居民，该页记有317人。[2] 和平县人民政府的乡镇介绍则称总人口约3万人，未注明统计年份。[1]

2004年底，全镇农民人均收入为3362元；工农业总产值6612万元，其中农业5147万元，工业1295万元。当时镇内有石场、榨油、碾米等联户企业一百多户。[2] 如今镇内出产茶叶、茶油、香菇、木耳、蜂蜜和腐竹等土特产。[1]

粤赣高速公路和忠定公路穿过镇内的7个村，南向可通往广州、惠州、深圳，北向可通往江西的定南、龙南和赣州。博雅地名网的交通一节称12个村均已通车，该页未注年份。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

据和平县人民政府介绍，镇内的风景名胜有：石人坑的石人峰（在丰洋村），狮子岩洞及其寺庙（在丰岭村），彰洞村的古村落，兴径村一带的客家围龙屋博山老屋，以及和平县黄石坳省级自然保护区。[1] 彰洞村的古建筑中有方围屋型的明清建筑，其中包括高安楼。[4]
