大湖镇是广东省河源市连平县东南部的一个镇，1987年由区公所改设为镇，下辖新街社区和8个行政村。[1][3][6]

镇名取自大德、湖仔两个较大村庄的合称「大德湖仔」，后取「大湖」为名。[3]境内有大湖寨、何新屋、白云楼等客家古建筑，也有「中共连平县第一个党支部旧址」「中共连平县工作委员会遗址」等红色遗存，镇政府以「红色、古色、绿色」三色资源作为发展旅游的基础。[1][4][5]

历史沿革[edit]

此地在明清两代隶属金锡都，民国年间划入赤坑六区，建国后的地区归属仍以第六区为单位。1964年，人民公社在此组建；1984年改设区公所；1987年区公所撤销，改为建镇。[3][6]

抗日战争和解放战争时期，大湖是连平县革命活动的重要地区。1940年6月，湖东小学内建立了连平县第一个党小组；同年9月，该校设立党支部，即连平县第一个党支部。1941年2月，中共连平县工作委员会在湖西村一带成立，同年冬撤销，改设特派员制。[1][4][5]

地理环境[edit]

镇位于连平县境东南部。境内国道358线穿越全境，粤赣高速在四个行政村的辖区内通过，镇区附近设有大湖出口；昆汕高速的出口离镇约5千米。[1]

大湖属亚热带季风气候，年平均气温约22℃，年平均降雨量约1795.6毫米。境内有五禾河与大湖河，前者长约6.5千米，后者长约11千米。全县最大的中型水库瓮潭水库位于境内，库容约3500万立方米。[1]

人口民族[edit]

各来源的人口数字因统计时间不同而有差异。连平县人民政府网站「人口姓氏」页载，2025年末大湖镇户籍人口为21484人[2]；镇概况页则称总户籍人口2.22万人[1]；博雅地名网据2021年6月第七次全国人口普查载人口约1.33万人[3]。

经济[edit]

全镇耕地约2.35万亩，林地约6.366万亩。大蒜、木薯、水稻与大豆是本地主要农作物，花生也有种植；水果与特产有百香果、红心火龙果、蓝莓和桑葚。[1]

镇政府以「大湖有机米」为拳头产品，依托「镇村企联建」的乡村产业运营机制，成立经济联合总社和富镇强村公司，由该公司承接湖东村古寨花海等项目的土地流转与经营。[1][14]

名胜古迹[edit]

大湖寨位于湖东村，始建于宋末元初，经元、明、清和民国时期多次扩建，平面呈半圆形，总面阔约200米，寨前有半月形池塘。2011年，河源市人民政府将其列为市级文物保护单位；2019年入选第五批中国传统村落名录。[1][7]

何新屋位于油村，始建于清雍正二年（1724年），是一座客家半圆形围龙建筑，今仅保存最古老的四围，屋内设有龙厅上书房、养正轩等书房。该屋也是解放战争时期的战斗旧址，并被列为「广东省文化遗产活化与乡村振兴产学研实践基地」。[1][8]

白云楼位于盘石村西北，原是地主曾启瑞兄弟的宅院，院落面积约2500平方米。1948年3月，守军进驻此楼；1949年1月，连和县人民政府组织部队将楼中守军围困，此处因此成为「白云楼战斗旧址」。连平县政府网站称白云楼为河源市文保单位。[1][10]

「中共连平县第一个党支部旧址」位于湖东村湖东小学院内，该校1920年创办。旧址为第四批河源市文物保护单位，2010年连平县政府也将其定为重点文物保护单位。[4][9]

著名人物[edit]

何秉钧（1878年—1911年），字子衡，油村何新屋人，清末武秀才。他在虎门武官学校就读时加入兴中会，毕业后在广东阳江任哨官，1911年3月因参加反清斗争牺牲，民国政府追认其为烈士。[11]

曾荣资（1924年—1948年）为湖西村人，1940年代初入读湖东小学，后加入中国共产党；曾超常（1922年—1949年）为盘石村人，1949年1月在河源大人山战斗中入党。[12][13]
