大埠村是元善镇下辖的行政村，村名与旧时木排在此停靠的码头有关。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

此地四周高山环抱，河岸宽缓，昔日木排多在此聚集停靠，码头因此称为大埠。[1]

1983年以前为大埠大队。1984年设大埠乡，此后1986年成立村委会；1990年1月转为管理区，1999年起才是大埠村民委员会。[1]

广东省卫生村的2023年度名录中有大埠村，命名日期为2024年3月。[1]
