社区与镇同名。据博雅地名网，此名出自旧时河东一带设立的几间铁厂，因“厂”与“场”两字读音相近，遂称铁场。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

社区于1990年成立，此后沿用至今。[1]

2026年公告的国土空间总体规划把铁场居委会划入镇区，与铁场村同属镇区的范围。[2]
