高湖村位于通衢镇，城乡分类属村庄。四面高山环绕，中间是一块盆地，远望如同一汪湖水，村名由此而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1949年6月，村子设为锦归乡高湖村；1951年10月改归县四区锦归乡。1958年10月并入锦归管理区，1963年春分出，成为高湖大队。1983年4月，锦归公社分出之后仍叫高湖；1987年4月，改称锦归乡高湖村委会；1989年10月才设管理区，1999年又设村委会。[1]

文化[edit]

2019年9月，高湖村被列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
