旺茂村位于通衢镇，城乡分类属村庄。村名改换过一次：解放前这里称“黄庙屯”，解放后改名旺茂。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1951年秋以前，这一地块属梅城乡。同年冬，它改入广福乡，称旺茂村。1958年设生产大队，1978年更名为大队，1984年重回广福乡；1988年成为管理区，1999年设村委会。[1]
文化[edit]
2024年3月，旺茂村被命名为「2023年广东省卫生村」。[1]
经济[edit]
博雅地名网所载通衢镇概况提到，旺茂村出产果蔗、水萝卜等作物，这一说法出自旧资料，年份未注。[2]
