梅城村是通衢镇下辖的村，城乡分类属镇乡结合区。村名与镇名同出一源，来自明代驿站东侧的梅树林与其间的爱梅亭。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

解放初这里称梅城乡。1958年建立人民公社时改称梅城大队，1983年又恢复为梅城乡，1987年改设村民委员会。1989年成为管理区，1999年重新设立村委会，此后沿用至今。[1]
