中心村在中坝镇的中心地带，村名即由此而来。[1] 2023年5月，该村获广东省爱卫会授予2022年广东省卫生村称号。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1952年5月设中心乡，属第二区（中坝）；1958年10月改为中心生产大队；1983年9月复称中心乡；1987年4月叫中心村委会；1989年底设管理区；2000年1月重设村委会，延续至今。[1]
