桂林村属临江镇，位于靠山一带，村委会附近种有玉桂树，林木密集，据说村名由此而来。[1] 茶叶是这里的主业，2020年8月，广东省农业农村厅评出的首批“一村一品、一镇一业”专业村中有它（茶叶）。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

桂林生产大队设于1958年10月，起初隶柏埔公社；等到1961年4月临江公社成立，便改归临江。八十年代起，1983年改称乡，1987年改称村委会，1989年一度叫管理区，1999年重新成立村委会，沿用至今。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2019年10月，入选「2019年广东省卫生村」名录；2026年1月，被评为广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村。[1]
