龙窝村毗邻龙窝圩，博雅地名网将其归为镇乡结合区。[1] 2019年10月，列入2019年广东省卫生村名录；同年9月又上榜2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

龙窝公社成立后，这里先称龙南大队，1959年与龙光大队并为龙窝综合农场，1962年农场撤销，仍用龙南的旧名。1983年，龙光、龙南的仕坑部分合并，以琴江中学为界分成上下两段：上段称龙窝乡，下段称琴江乡。1989年改作龙窝管理区，1999年起为龙窝村民委员会。[1]
