名胜古迹[edit]
桂山石楼在县城东南33公里处，是一组客家围屋：主楼六层、高20米，下两层用花岗岩条石砌成，墙厚1.5米，上四层用火砖砌筑。主楼之前依次是三进正屋，计41间；左右两排横屋合70间；门外有石砌池塘，四周再围以墙垣，总占地约1.8万平方米。[2] 始建年代有清乾隆四十五年（1780年）和五十四年（1789年）两说，历时约四五十年建成。[2][4]
百度百科称石楼由本地商人廖肇衍主持兴建，楼内曾办「文明书舍」私塾，先后出过进士廖笃才、举人廖时化及三十多名秀才。[4] 紫金县政府网站则说，石楼1999年1月被县里公布为第三批文物保护单位，2002年12月村民又凑款16万元维修主楼。[2]
历史沿革[edit]
桂山大队始于1958年，1984年公社改区时变为桂山乡，其后1987年为管理区，到1999年设立村委会。博雅地名网的沿革末句误写为「红星村委会」，应指桂山村委会。[1]
