龙窝社区是龙窝镇政府驻地龙窝圩所在的社区居委会，位于镇中心区。[1] 1989年，龙光、龙南两个大队合并为龙窝管理区时，圩镇范围分出来单设为社区居委会，延续至今；2019年10月，列入广东省卫生村名录。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1958年龙窝人民公社成立，这一带分为龙光大队和龙南大队；1986年冬撤区建镇；1989年两个大队并为龙窝管理区，龙窝圩镇的范围另立社区居委会，归镇政府管辖。[1][2]

地名的由来，社区一带流传着一个传说：明代中叶，一位国师追踪赣州方向的龙脉，到长乐琴江都彭坊村口和高坑村口交汇处，见龙脉已尽、左右两水合流，便断定为吉地；他留下「主穴结庙堂，庙下结墟场」等地忏，后人据此把这里叫作龙窝。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

1928年1月，由广州起义余部改编的红四师攻下紫金县城，生擒国民党中将丘国忠，随后开进龙窝，与红二师第五团及县里的工农革命军大队、赤卫队会合，打退对方一个师的进攻。会师地点在镇政府旁的水田。[3] 遗址至今保留水田和民居，旁边新建了一座小型变电站。[3]
