下塘村位于广东省汕尾市陆丰市桥冲镇西面中段，离镇政府约1.2千米。东面与大塘村相接，西面与后冲村毗邻。博雅地名网所载总人口2076人，是镇内人口最少的村。[1]

村里分为两个村民小组；仅有一条穿过村子的乡村公路，出行不便。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村子历史悠久，古建筑较多。解放初期属博美镇，后划归桥冲镇。[1]

大塘村的条目提到，1989年，下塘上、下塘下两个自然村从大塘村划出，组成了本村的村委会。随后于1994年设为管理区，1999年再改回村委会。[2]

农业与养殖[edit]

耕作以水稻、花生为基础，荔枝与芝麻也有种植；养牛、养猪是主要的畜牧。[1]

莲塘寨公园[edit]

莲塘寨公园在村内，原来是闲置的荔枝林，杂草和垃圾很多。2024年前后，村党支部主导，村理事会组织村民捐资出力，把它建成了公园。园内保留了两棵百年榕树和成片荔枝林。[3]

荣誉[edit]

2023年5月，下塘村被评为「2022年广东省卫生村」。2026年1月，该村入选第二批「百千万工程」典型村。[1]
