后洋村在陆丰市甲东镇半岛东南部，只有1个自然村，面积约8平方千米，人口四千多，距镇政府8千米，南临南海，北与惠来县相邻。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明正德年间（1512至1521年），零散的房屋逐渐扩连，成为一个整体的村庄。土地改革时，前边、山前、后洋、上湖东、下湖东5村合设前边乡，属第八区（两城区）；1958年后洋从前边大队分出，另设后洋大队，归甲东公社；1983年称后洋乡；1987年改村委会，隶甲东镇；1994年称管理区，1999年复称村委会。[1]

经济[edit]

村里引进养殖业和种植业，也有池塘和海上捕捞。[1]

荣誉[edit]

后洋村列入「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」（2019年9月公布）；2020年12月，获2020年广东省卫生村称号。[1]
