坪林村在广东省汕尾市陆丰市八万镇，临碣博河公路，距镇政府3公里，距陆丰市区33公里。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

新中国成立初期属六福社，是八万乡的一个片村，叫坪林村，也称「十一村」。1958年公社化时归八万大队；1960年划出，另设坪林大队；1987年改村委会；1994年称管理区；1999年又改村委会，沿用至今。[1]

人口与经济[edit]

面积约5平方公里，分10个村民小组，总人口1700多人，地处丘陵山岗，以种果树、水稻和蔬菜为主。[1]下辖坪林、新村、长坑水、老屋场、田垄背、李屋、杨屋、林墩、上一、上二10个自然村。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2020年12月，省爱卫会授予「2020年广东省卫生村」称号；2022年1月，省乡村振兴局把它列为2021年度乡村治理示范村创建单位。[1]
