新坑村是广东省汕尾市陆丰市八万镇北部的村，碣博河公路穿村而过，距镇区6公里。[1]

村名与沿革[edit]

清康熙年间，此地仅有一个已废的村子「新文寨」，建在高山沼泽上，不宜耕种。乾隆年间人们开凿小坑、把坑道取直，村子由此得名新坑。[1]

新坑大队立于1960年，隶八万公社。其后数度更易：1983年划入新林乡，到1987年才从该乡分出另立村委会，1994年称管理区，1999年定为村民委员会，至今未变。[1]

人口与经济[edit]

全村面积5平方公里，分6个村民小组（上一至上三、下一至下三），总人口1800多人，其中外出者超过1000人，山多地少。[1][2]

荣誉[edit]

2019年10月入选2019年广东省卫生村名录；省农业农村厅在2021年9月公布的第二批「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村中，新坑村凭单丛茶上榜；2026年1月获评广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村。[1]
