历史沿革[edit]

建国初期赤坑并在点石大队之内，到1972年才划出，另设赤坑大队。之后的称呼依次是：赤坑乡（1983年）、村委会（1987年）、管理区（1994年），1999年再度称村委会，此名一直用到现在。[1]

经济与荣誉[edit]

赤坑以萝卜闻名：农业部在2017年7月把它列入「第七批全国一村一品示范村镇」。2020年12月，它又得到广东省卫生村的称号；2022年1月，省乡村振兴局将其定为「2021年广东省乡村治理示范村」创建单位。[1]
