西湖社区在汕尾市陆丰市碣石镇，是2014年从后埔村析出新设的社区居委会，居民是因核电建设而整体迁出原村的西湖村民。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

西湖原是后埔村委会下的西湖村民小组。陆丰核电项目建设需要用地，村庄和土地被中广核集团公司全部征用，村民整体搬迁，安置区建在玉燕中学以北，2012年建成。安置区与后埔村委会相距11公里，跨区管理不便，因此在2014年分出，另立西湖社区居委会，沿用至今。[1]
