西湖村是惠州市惠阳区秋长街道所辖的行政村，村名据传源于村西多湖泊[1]。
历史沿革[edit]
相传河南方姓夫妇先到惠州，后来看中此地土地肥沃，决定落户，因村西有许多湖泊而称西湖[1]。解放前就叫西湖村，1958年成了西湖大队。其后与新塘并为西新乡，1985年各回原样；1988年起称管理区，1999年定为村民委员会[1]。
文化[edit]
西湖村在2019年9月被列为「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」的创建单位[1]。
